DESCRIPTION:Please join us as we work to raise ⭐$13\,500 ⭐ The money we raise goes right back to students\, teachers\, and interns – to help our students become life-long learners who are successful in a global\, multilingual community. \nThe PTO’s largest budget item is our five French-speaking interns!!! Each year we have interns working with our students and teachers. They bring their energy\, language\, and culture to our school\, and help our students learn and grow. The PTO pays for these interns and PTO volunteers make the intern program run. \nWe have sent home a donation card and envelope with each student. We ask that you complete the card\, and return the card and envelope to your student’s classroom by Friday\, October 13\, 2023. SUMMARY:January Meeting- French Immersion Pathways Presentation
DESCRIPTION:L’Etoile du Nord is the first step in the SPPS French Immersion Program. After 5th grade\, students may choose to continue the program through Hidden River Middle School and Central Senior High School. The January General PTO Meeting will be spotlighting our unique Pathway Program! We invite you to attend the presentation hosted by teachers and students of the French Immersion Pathway Program.\nStudent that choose to complete the program at a high school level can earn a French Immersion Certificate of Achievement\, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and the DELF Assessment\, which meets the language requirement for admission to universities in France and several French-speaking universities in Canada.
